My husband Tony died suddenly in November 2023.
Though not professional he was a very good guitar player. He had played In My Life at funerals of friends and so it felt appropriate to ask a musician friend to play it at his funeral, which was greatly appreciated.
When we were first together he used to play and sing Blue Moon for me and it became our song. I hadn't heard it since Tony died but then it was recently played as a duet on The Piano and it was so good to hear it again.
Shortly after Tony died I was feeling very low, missing him and not sure about my future or finances. I was scrolling through my phone and found that my niece had put a recording of Tony singing and playing Don't Worry Be Happy on facebook. It was like he was still communicating through music and sending me a message.
