So many songs remind me of Andrew, so it is hard to pick just one, but this song popped into my head about a week following my eldest brother's passing.
I can’t recall the first time he introduced me to ‘Almost Cut My Hair’ by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. His influence on my musical preferences is significant. We shared inside jokes, often quoting lyrics from various songs, which would amuse each other.
At first, listening to this particular song was an emotional challenge, it was just too painful. Over time, however, it has become a source of comfort, allowing me to feel connected to my brother through the imagined scenes of us singing and dancing together.
We have a collection of vinyl records, including some that belonged to Andrew. I shared this song with my husband, and a week later he very kindly bought the album for me.
